The Distributional Financial Accounts provide a quarterly measure of the distribution of U.S. household wealth since 1989. The data set contains four percentile groups of wealth: the top 1 percent, the 90th to 99th percentile, the 50th to 90th percentile, and the bottom half.

The G.19 Statistical Release, "Consumer Credit," reports outstanding credit extended to individuals for household, family, and other personal expenditures, excluding loans secured by real estate. Total consumer credit comprises two major types: revolving and nonrevolving. The G.19 also reports selected terms of credit, including interest rates on new car loans, personal loans, and credit card plans at commercial banks.

Based on data from the New York Fed's Consumer Credit Panel, a nationally representative sample drawn from anonymized Equifax credit data, the report provides a quarterly snapshot of household trends in borrowing and indebtedness, including data about mortgages, student loans, credit cards, auto loans and delinquencies.
