Citizens & Northern Restricted Cash (Per Share Quarterly)

Restricted Cash is cash that is earmarked for specific purposes and is not available to the company for general use. Common reasons for restrictions include money set aside for future debt payments, payments by customers for goods not yet received, or contractual obligations. Cash is considered an asset, however, it cannot be freely used as typical cash. Restricted Cash is taken from a line item on the company’s balance sheet.
