Textron, Inc. manufactures aircrafts, automotive engines, industrial products, and military equipment. It operates in the aircraft, defense, industrial, and finance businesses worldwide. The company operates through five reportable business segments: Cessna Aircraft Co., Bell Helicopter Textron, Inc., Textron Systems Corp., Industrial and Textron Financial Corp. Cessna Aircraft designs and manufactures business jets, utility turboprops and single-engine piston aircraft. Bell Helicopter Textron manufactures commercial and military helicopters and tiltrotor aircraft. Textron Systems provides innovative solutions to the defense, homeland security and aerospace communities. The Industrial segment is composed of four businesses that manufacture and market branded industrial products worldwide, which includes E-Z-GO, Greenlee Textron, Inc., Jacobsen and Kautex Textron GmbH & Co. K.G. E-Z-GO designs and manufactures light transportation vehicles, such as golf cars and utility vehicles, for consumer, commercial and government applications, including golf courses, municipalities, airports, resorts and factories. Textron Financial is a diversified commercial finance company that provides financing programs. It was founded by Royal Little in 1923 as the Special Yarns Company, and is headquartered at the Textron Tower in Providence, Rhode Island, United States.
