Analyst Update: Earnings, Stake Sale and Estimates

U.S. stocks closed lower on Tuesday amid sharp bond market volatility. The NASDAQ Composite closed at 4,976.19, down 0.35%, the S&P 500 fell 0.29% to 2,099.12, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average finished the day 0.20% lower, at 18,068.23. European stocks fell sharply on Tuesday as heavy bond market sell-off flustered investors. Germany's DAX 30 slipped 1.72%, France's CAC 40 tumbled 1.06%, and the London's FTSE 100 closed 1.37% lower on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Asian markets were mixed on Tuesday amid concern over Greece's future in the euro zone and interest rate cut in China.

Exxon Mobil Corporation will be hosting its 2015 Annual Meeting of Shareholders on Wednesday, May 27, 2015. The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. CT and take place at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas, Texas. The Company has also made 2015 Proxy Statement and other supporting materials available under its Investor Relations section of the website.

Apple Inc. shares closed 1.88% higher at $127.62 on Friday, May 8, 2015, as investors rushed to buy the stock to earn a record quarterly dividend per share of $0.52. The payout is scheduled on May 14, but to be eligible for the dividend, shareholders are required to own the stock as of record date May 11.

Ford Motor Co. announced the sales update for the month of April 2015 on May 1, 2015. The Company reported strong consumer demand in the U.S. for its new products as Ford registered a 5% increase in total U.S. sales in April with 222,498 vehicles sold. Retail sales grew 7%, while fleet sales were up 1%.

Ambev S.A. (Ambev) announced its first quarter 2015 results on May 6, 2015. The Company's net revenues increased 14.5% on a constant currency basis in Q1 2015, driven by solid top line growth in all of its operations to aggregate BRL10.8 billion compared with BRL9.1 billion in Q1 2014. The reported growth in net sales was 19.1%.

General Motors Company announced its financial results for the first quarter of 2015 on April 23, 2015. The Company reported a decline in revenues which stood at $35.7 billion compared to $37.4 billion in March 2014 quarter, representing a decrease of 4.5% YoY. Thomson had a consensus revenue estimate of $37.61 billion for the quarter.
