Markel names Patrick Moylan Managing Director, Medical Product Line

RICHMOND, Va., Feb. 21, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Markel Corporation (NYSE: MKL) announced today that Patrick Moylan has been named Managing Director, Medical Product Line. Moylan is responsible for Markel's product development and underwriting efforts in the health care space.

Alan Rodrigues, Executive Underwriting Officer, Casualty, stated, "Patrick's extensive insurance industry experience and strong broker relationships are invaluable assets for our team. Moylan brings more than 15 years of health care property and casualty experience to this high-visibility role. Prior to joining Markel, he served as Senior Vice President, Head of Healthcare Professional Liability, at Zurich North America.

Moylan is based in New York City, New York, and reports to Rodrigues.
