OTC Markets Group Enhances Functionality of U.S. Bank Quarterly Call Reports

NEW YORK, April 7, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- OTC Markets Group Inc. (OTCQX: OTCM), operator of financial markets for 10,000 U.S. and global securities, today introduced an enhancement to its Call Report data on the OTCMarkets.com website. The newest version provides users with access to historical data trend charting on all Call Report data points for more than 550 U.S. community banks trading on the OTCQX, OTCQB, and Pink markets.

The breadth, density and volume of Call Report information often make it difficult to identify the underlying significance or trends associated with the data.  The new feature set expands the usability of the current Call Report PDF format.  The enhanced Call Reports provide users with the ability to view trends through interactive visualization tools, removing the need for downloading multiple reports and creating individual graphs in excel.

An integral component to the banking ecosystem, Call Report data is required to be published by FDIC insured financial institutions each quarter to monitor performance and risk as part of the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) requirements.  Call Reports provide state banking authorities and bank rating agencies, banking regulatory agencies, as well as the investing public, with transparency into a bank's income statement, lending portfolio, balance sheet, deposit information and changes in the bank's performance.
