BNY Mellon Appoints Outsourcing Veteran Teresa Messina as Head of Middle Office Solutions

NEW YORK, Oct. 23, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- BNY Mellon has appointed Teresa Messina as Head of Middle Office Solutions (MOS). Messina will manage BNY Mellon's Middle Office offerings across its Asset Servicing and Alternative Investment Services businesses. She will be based in New York.

Middle Office Solutions provides mission-critical administration services to investment clients by delivering on their non-core operations and technology needs. Using these solutions, clients can focus on efficient investment management and servicing their own clients with higher performance and satisfaction.

Messina joins BNY Mellon from Goldman Sachs Asset Management in New York, where she was a Managing Director responsible for global asset management middle and back office operations. She led her global team in all aspects of post trade activities while controlling costs. In her role there, she integrated eight acquisitions and implemented an organizational strategy that focused on client experience. She previously was Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting officer at Webster Bank and a Senior Vice President at Fannie Mae.

Messina is a Certified Public Accountant, with significant previous audit experience as an Ernst & Young partner. She was nominated as Auditor of the Year by Institutional Investor in 2006.

Messina received an M.B.A. in Corporate Finance from St. Joseph University in Philadelphia and a B.S. in Accounting from Lehigh University.
