First Bank Expands Commitment to Western North Carolina With Donation to Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity

SOUTHERN PINES, N.C., June 14, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- First Bank will make a significant donation of $67,000 to the Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity (AAHH). The funds will be split over the next two years, and include the sponsorship of an entire home in 2018. Construction on the house began recently, with several First Bank employees participating in the build throughout the summer.

The largest community bank based in North Carolina, First Bank recently completed its acquisition of Asheville Savings Bank in March 2018. First Bank now has 13 branches across western North Carolina and remains committed to helping the region and its residents thrive.
