Cancer Patients Enjoy Relaxing Respite Vacations Across America

CHICAGO, Aug. 1, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- For the last two years, Encore RV Resorts and Thousand Trails Campgrounds have partnered with For Pete's Sake (FPS), hosting their twelfth family in June. The successful partnership began when FPS sought a travel partner in the spring of 2016 and the organizations now have patient respites planned for a third year. Patients and their families receive VIP treatment courtesy of FPS and the RV resort of their choice. Recent respite stays have been hosted by Encore and Thousand Trails at Circle M, Fiesta Key, Chesapeake Bay, Sea Pines, Hershey, and Tropical Palms.

Marci Bossow Schankweiler founded For Pete's Sake Cancer Respite Foundation in memory of her husband, Peter R. Bossow, Jr., whose 15-month battle with cancer ended on September 1, 1999.
