CNA Canada Appoints Sean Deakin Vice President, National Manager, Surety Canada

TORONTO, Feb. 25, 2019 /CNW/ -- CNA today announced the appointment of Sean Deakin as Vice President, National Manager, Surety Canada.  In this role, Deakin will be responsible for underwriting strategy and underwriting excellence by leading the production and profitability of the surety business in Canada. He will also direct underwriting and coordinate surety product marketing activities across Canada. In addition, Deakin will ensure effective execution of strategy and operational objectives, including the servicing of cross-border business for US branches. Deakin will report to Mike Groman, Vice President, Surety International. Deakin will be based in Toronto.

Deakin has 23 years of industry experience and joins us from The Guarantee Company of North America, where he was the National Vice President for Surety Operations in Canada.  He has also held previous management positions at Aviva and Zurich.
