CI Financial reports assets under management

TORONTO, May 1, 2017 /CNW/ - CI Financial Corp. ("CI") today reported preliminary assets under management at April 30, 2017 of $123.1 billion and total assets of $163.6 billion.
Assets under management grew by $14.8 billion or 13.7% year over year, and increased by $2.4 billion, or 2.0% in the month of April. Total assets gained $20.6 billion or 14.4% for the 12-month period and were up $3.2 billion or 2.0% in the month of April.
CI's average assets under management for the quarter-to-date were $121.6 billion, versus $119.4 billion for the first quarter of 2017. Average assets under management for the year-to-date were $120.0 billion, a gain of $9.1 billion or 8.2% from the average fiscal year 2016.
CI reported assets under advisement at Assante Wealth Management (Canada) Ltd. and Stonegate Private Counsel of $40.5 billion at April 30, 2017, representing an increase of $5.8 billion or 16.7% year over year.
CI is scheduled to release its financial results for the first quarter of 2017 on May 11, 2017, on CNW Group and cifinancial.com.
