GRAND FALLS, NB, Jan. 18, 2018 /CNW/ - Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada's^®(SHDiC) cross-country celebration is coming to Grand Falls on Saturday, January 20, with a special on-ice event, exciting giveaways, and the opportunity to meet an NHL Alumnus.

As the title sponsor of the 18^th annual Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada^®, Scotiabank is proud to support this celebration of hockey, which brings kids' hockey clinics and NHL Alumni™ to communities across Canada. SHDiC is taking place this year in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, January 17 to January 20, and continuing with celebrations across the country in three satellite locations: Cowichan Valley, British Columbia; Grand Falls, New Brunswick; and Sarnia, Ontario.

		Festivities to include:
	On-ice skills and drills event with a local Scotiabank-sponsored minor hockey team and public meet-and-greet with hockey great – Michael Peca, Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada^® giveaways, and more.
	Note:
	Children wearing a hockey jersey will receive free admittance to the recently opened tube lift behind the CEPSC, courtesy of the town of Grand Falls.
