The economy of the Czech Republic is one of the most developed industrialized economies in eastern Europe. It has a nominal GDP of $215.2 billion according to 2011 estimates, placing it at 45th in the world. It is one of the most stable and prosperous economies of the post-Communist states with a GDP per capita of $20,444 which is about 85% of the average of the EU.
