Bangladesh is the 44th largest economy in the world with a GDP of $283,469 PPP. Most of the GDP is generated by the service sector, yet the majority of Bangladeshis work in the agricultural sector. Rice and jute are the primary crops, but maize and other vegetables are gaining importance. The textile industry accounts for nearly 80% of its exports and makes Bangladesh the world's second largest textile exporter.
