Definition

Default testing stock that is used by most traders. Testing stocks were introduced to have no real trading value, but to ensure that testing could be reliably done on most exchanges. While this stock belongs to NASDAQ Exchange, there are a multitude of testing stocks out there that serve similar purposes.

Testing stocks were used to reliably help test systems and exchanges to prevent "catastrophic issues" from testing with real stocks. While ZVZZT is known in the US, international stocks do not have as well-known testing symbols.

IE. It's easier to test out an order system with 5000 shares of ZVZZT and have it filled than to test out an order system with 5000 shares of IBM and have the price negatively work against you.
