Work In Process Inventory

Work in process are goods a company has begun to produce but are not yet a finished product. Work in Process Inventory can be viewed in contrast to Finished Goods Inventory and Raw Materials Inventory. Work in Process Inventory is taken from a line item in the company’s income statement.
