Dividend Yield (Forward)

Dividend Yield (Forward) is an annual estimate of the future dividends a security will pay relative to the security’s price. Dividend Yield (Forward) bases the estimate on historical data, annualizing the most recent dividend payment to approximate the following year’s total dividends paid.

It’s important to note that Dividend Yield (Forward) assumes that dividends will remain consistent with the most recent dividends paid. However, since dividends are not guaranteed, actual dividend yield may be different from the forward estimate.

Formula

Dividend Yield (Forward) = (Most Recent Dividend * Dividend Frequency) / Price
