Cash Flow Operations Per Employee

View Financial Glossary Index

Definition

Cash Flow from Operations per Employee. Imagine this ratio as the amount of cash from operations each employee has generated in the last year.

Because items from the cash flow statement are period based while employee counts are a snapshot in time, we average the ending employee count and the beginning employee count to get the average employees in a year.

Formula

Cash Flow Operations (10-K, Cash Flow Statement) / Average Annual Employee.
