China is the world's second largest economy with a nominal GDP of $7.74 trillion according to 2012 estimates and is the fastest growing economy, with growth rates averaging 10% over the last 30 years. However, on a per capita basis, China is ranked 90th in the world with a nominal GDP per capita of $5,184. It is the largest exporter and second largest importer of goods in the world. The coastal regions of China tend to be more industrialized while inland regions are less developed.
