Definition

Other comprehensive income (OCI) is the difference between net income and comprehensive income. This encompasses certain types of gains and losses that are not recognized as normal profits or losses, including: gains/losses from derivatives, gains/losses from currency conversion and actuarial gains/losses from employee pension plans.
