Dresser-Rand Group Inc., is a global supplier of rotating equipment and aftermarket parts and services, headquartered in Houston, Texas, United States, and Paris, France. The company was formed on December 31, 1986, as a equally-owned partnership between Dresser Industries and Ingersoll Rand. In September 1999, Dresser Industries merged with Halliburton and Hallibarton became a partner in the company. On February 2, 2000, Ingersoll Rand purchased Halliburton's interest in Dresser-Rand. In 2004, Dresser-Rand Holdings, LLC, an affiliate of First Reserve Corporation, purchased all of the equity interests in the Dresser-Rand. In 2005, Dresser-Rand Group Inc. had initial public offering of common stock and was listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
