Shawn Carpenter, Co-Founder / CEO
Shawn has been an active investor for over 15 years. Shawn spent three years at Google, where he led strategy & revenue intelligence efforts for the $350 million Local Vertical. Before Google, he led business development and new product launches for Classified Ventures. In 1998, Shawn founded WallStreetView to launch one of the first real-time investor portals for individual investors. Shawn holds a BS from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has been called a “Web Whiz” by Crains and has appeared on Fox Business, CNBC and is a contributor to SeekingAlpha and Forbes.
Ara Anjargolian, Co-Founder / CTO
Ara has over 10 years of large scale programming experience. Prior to founding YCharts, Ara led development for Tribune where he developed large scale real-estate solutions. He is also the owner and lead developer of Jargol. Ara holds a BS from the University of California, Berkeley in Electrial Engineering and Computer Science where he graduated with High Honors.
Nick Kocinski, CFO
Nick has nearly 10 years experience working with online companies. Prior to joining YCharts, Nick spent 6 years with HomeFinder.com as the lead of both finance and marketing. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the University of Chicago and a Master's Degree from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with a dual concentration in Finance and Entrepreneurship.
Dave Lubnik, Director of Sales
Prior to joining YCharts, Dave spent over four years at Goldman Sachs as an advisor to ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families in the Private Wealth Management group. He also worked at FactSet Research Systems for four years in Institutional Sales. Dave holds a BBA in Finance from the University of Notre Dame, and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Jeff Bailey, Editor
Jeff Bailey is the Editor of YCharts, managing the company's growing content, which is produced by writers who have worked at Forbes, Dow Jones Newswires, the Chicago Tribune and other major media outlets. Bailey spent 20 years at the Wall Street Journal as reporter, editor and columnist, served as the editor at Crain's Chicago Business and was a reporter for the New York Times, Los Angeles Times and Orange County Register. Nathan Pinger, Product Manager
Nathan has avidly followed the markets since he began investing in his mid-teens. He joined YCharts after earning an MBA with High Honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Prior to business school, he spent three years at a marketing agency in Beijing, China, where he led market research efforts and then a sales team targeting multinational companies. He also holds a BA in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
J. Stuart Kruse, CFA, Advisor
Stuart Kruse designed a breakthrough model for investing, formulated to maximize the odds a client will achieve financial goals. Since its inception, the Kruse Quantitative Value Portfolio, or QVP, has outperformed the S&P 500 approximately 80 percent of all 90 day periods. Mr. Kruse built Kruse Asset Management in 2007, after 7 years with Bear Stearns & Co. Inc. where he originally systemized the QVP. Prior to his work at Bear Stearns, Mr. Kruse worked for Lehman Brothers Private Client Services where he managed more than $30 million in client investments and attained $1 billion endowment fund. Kruse also serves as adjunct professor at Concordia University's MBA program in Entrepreneurial Finance.
